Fun addicting wee game

Its a simple game with a simple concept but its good because of its sleak easy
controls that make the frustrating task of jumping on small platforms quite fun!

However for 20 levels I felt it became far too samey and beyond falling with no idea where you're going to land or doing a large jump there wasn't really any other tricks the levels threw at you and the difficulty stayed the same pretty much throughout until 1 level near the end (The fall or something). And that menu screen is an absolute eyesore!

Amazing stuff!

I totally wasn't expecting an entire re-creation of the first Mario!
Yeah, some of the characters don't fit perfectly into the Mario world, but that doesn't matter, its much more fun that way!
The coding must be pretty damn solid, i played through 3 worlds before getting a game over :(
And I didn't really come across any noticable bugs or glitchiness, very nicely done.

If you're making a similar type sequel to this perhaps switch a few characters around? just off the top of my head I think a character like Pit from Kid Icarus would fit in the game quite well

I enjoyed it!

A well presented fun lil' game!

The graphics were very polished and neat, glad that the background changed for the different stages..orange was becoming a bit too much after a while :p

Some of the early levels were fairly challenging in comparison to after the first boss. The first boss was real good, having to juggle between him and the minions that come down from all angles. There is a nice variety of upgrades That explode and look pretty which is nice to see.

After the first boss though the game became a little bit easy because the money rewards ramped up making upgrades real quick and everything just got obliterated from then on. Scaling of difficulty is pretty common though with games that have this style of upgrading..tough to tweak!
I also felt you moved a little to slow even with a full speed upgrade, however it just made the game a bit harder..though in a frustrating type way.

Music wasn't to my taste, a little bland compared to the action going on, on the stage.

However, overall it was a really well presented game that looks nice and plays well - the scaling of difficulty coinciding with upgrades just needs some tweaking!

However

Fun game

Its a really neat wee game, of all the mini games around here i don't think i've seen this one yet! Its got decent difficulty progression and is good to just pick up and play.
If you're able to up the overall presentation I'm sure you'd be grab the attention of alot more people! Its the only thing letting it down really.

Hmmm

It was WAY too hard. I could hardly last more than a few seconds on both levels! Its a nice simple idea for a game, I like that helicoptor and worm game very much (I'm assuming thats were you got the idea from). The sound was nicely looped.

KentuckyJones responds:

Ye it is way too hard, even I can't finish it half the time lol. I got the idea off of thatworm game, I can play that for hours on end. Thanks for the review.

Hehe I enjoyed that.

That was great, I really enjoyed that. It was very fun, I go ta shock when I seen the giant tank hehe. Good work, next time you could try polish up the graphics or somthing. But the fun factor is there and it had well suited music too.

KentuckyJones responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed! I was surprised so many people liked this game considering it was my first game and all. I might revamp the graphics in this sometime, but when I can be bothered hehe. Thanks for the review!

Great game.

I could sit and kill those clocks all day! It's a fairly well made game, simple and fun. If you're going ot make another you should have it so it doesn't just carry on....and on...and on until you die. Have levels and bosses or somthing.

NegativeTWO responds:

Not a bad plan. I'm not sure there will be a follow-up, but if there is, bosses and levels would be a worthwhile investment of time.

I don't particularly like dress ups

I don't particularly like dress ups so it didn't amaze me. Guess it wasn't so bad for a dress up, it was good that you had a range of folk to dress up with quite a few different bits of clothing.

alexsmolik responds:

Well thank you my good man.
I think that the range of clothes isn't huge, but I did my best, it's one of my first.
Thanks for the review.

Okay

It was alright. Nothing special since it was just a soundbaord, but there was a hellova lot of sounds! Also had a little animated guy in the corner which was fairly well done.

alexsmolik responds:

Thanks for the compliments.
There are indeed loads of sounds, but I should've "organized" them into different menus, wich I didn't. Oh well, I'm lazy. I'm proud of that little guy in the corner too =)
Thanks for the review.
Alex

That is good for such a small file size.

Its very nicely drawn, made and presented. Nothing much to comment on since there isn't much though. Theres a line down the screen were the background repeats again though.
I'm not entirly sure if you made this though, but I got no evidence so I'll assume you did.
Neat little game.

Chestnut responds:

I made this myself, after reading a actionscript tutorial on the net. Thanks for the review
